So that's it!!! I didn't know I was related. Maybe he'll consider me in his will - nah, that won't work cuz I'm a lot older than he is. Hey, could you ask your PI if I'm closely related enough to make it through the Semi-Final this time around???

I was, of course, kidding. Most of the photos were excellent, so I guess the judges had a hard choice.

I'm glad to hear you weren't serious! I think I'm done grousing about the judging, and have a greater appreciation for the difficulty of the task. It's becomming more and more challenging for me to choose a top 10 - usually it's 15 or so! Stiff competition!

Tessa, I hope to see one of your great pictures in the next round. I looked at your Wilderness Project, and there are many nice images there, and many familiar "faces." I was thinking Pacific NW until I saw the orange salamander, then I noticed that you mentioned the Allegheny. Looks like you had a great summer!
