This was a first for me. My mom (mac-user) wanted to change her phone/internet provider. You can get great deals if you get them in a 'combined package' sometimes.

From one of the larger phone/internet providers' in the Netherlands website:
Windows NT, 98 of previous versions, Linux or Macintosch (Apple computer) are not supported by our helpdesk. This service is therefor not sold to customers with those systems

I thought it was a bit radical, and discriminating tbh :scratch

I can understand why they would post that from a support standpoint, but not offering service because you have a machine they can't support is dumb. Lol.. besides up Linux guys are supposed to be smarter than the average windows jockey rolleyes1.gif

If I could get Creative Suite on my linux box I'd kiss all other OS's goodbye.

Of course looking at it the other way, if they DID sell her the service and ther was a problem I am certain you'd be on all kinds of forums bitching about how they won't support her because she's on a Mac & should have said something in the first place. Can't make everyone happy.

The simple solution is to ignore them and find another provider. ne_nau.gif

Remember that while in our little photo community Macs run nearly even with PCs in usage, in the wide world it's more like under 10%. For some companies it's probably cheaper to just lose that part of the market up front than to try and support them.
