Bulk image size update

Hi everyone,

Here's a question, but I'm not sure if it goes here (I think so, since I'm using a pro account).

I love the new size settings, but it requires that I change all of my images. I want to set them all to XLarge as the max shown size, which also requires that I change the watermark to a newer one that goes with the newer larger size. Is there a way to do that quickly, or do I have to do it gallery by gallery?

Thanks!

Set the max display size with quicksettings.

I also suggest using the most excellent SmugBrowser, a Firefox Addon :)

You really do not need to change your watermark. Watermarks will scale nicely up and down thumb.gif
    This is one of my olde watermarks, pre-SmugMungous. It's ~500px x 500px.

A new version of SmugBrowser supporting all the new SmugMungous sizes should be out tomorrow.

    Cheers,

    Andy,
Do I need to re-upload pictures? I set the size to X3Large on a couple of my galleries and do not see the new sizes as options. Is there a time lag for this?

No Gary it's not time lagged. At the moment, to generate new image sizes for existing photos...you need to rotate your photos or re-watermark them (if you have a pro account). Otherwise, an easier method is coming soon. thumb.gif

    excellent browser!
I'm likin' this smugbrowser, and I'm hoping to used it shortly for the bulk update :)

A side note: I know that I'm being a Mac purist here, but it took me a while to figure out that I need to right click on an item to get options to show up. Since the right click menu appears to be fairly constant, maybe it can show up in the title bar, and only become active once an item is clicked? That way, those of us who are second button impaired can still get the functionality obviously :)

    Thanks!

I'm the first to admit that the ui sucks, it needs a major overhaul..i'm hoping one of these days I will have the time to do it thumb.gif

My update will be delayed for a few days, I'm waiting for some new SM code to be release...hopefully early next week sometime.
