I believe the rules state we can use Smug L for LPS, but I was wondering if XL can be used, now that we've got it?

For now, we'll keep the rules at 800px, L, Large size from SmugMug.

We don't want to be unfair to anyone who's entering LPS and might be using one of the other photo sharing sites that don't have the SmugMungous goodness :D

However, if you enable XL images from your gallery, you can use a -800x800 link and it should get it right for both portrait and landscape shots.

the short answer: stick to the rules... "800 pixels on the longest side"

whether you link it as a SmugMug L, XL, skinny half-caf XL, or whatever, is completely up to you. as Andy said, this isn't just a SmugMug competition.

I'm not noticing "XL" at my smugmug site.
Is there a switch to turn on?

I'm using a Beta 3 version of Safari.

Not a switch, but you must
upload photos larger than the display sizes, and then you'll get the option.
