Interesting photo, but I think there are some small tweaks I would recommend based on some comments I got when I asked.

I think that rotating it so that the utility pole is vertical. Also I would think that maybe cropping the photo to remove the gap at the end of the pole could be cool.

Of course I will admit I am a noob, but figure I would share my comments.

It is still a great shot thumb.gif

Yes, I think it works for the contest... well within theme... I would straighten the utility pole as Brad suggested and crop the bottom part of the image out, where you can see oarange/yellow light from the sun...

    Good luck

Nice lightning shot! Could work in LPS 15. Not enough color in it so I would
convert to grayscale. Increase the contrast to get the blacks blacker. Its
tempting to say straighten the pole but I think in this particular photo it
could perhaps be said that it works as is. I did the straighten and crop only
to find most of the interesting elements are lost and the pole doesn't sit in
the photo right. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with what ever you do enter. thumb.gif

Your crop is good of the photo orginally posted. Must have been quite the
thing to be there shooting that hotspot! thumb.gif

15524779-Ti.gif The cropped image is definitely the better shot. There may be a bit too much camera movement in the poles though?
