Hello Grinners - can I get some feedback on this photo as a possible entry for LPS15? Thanks!

Wow, awesome shot! But...it's not saying either theme to me as it seems duotone. If you want to keep the warm glow, how about trying a sepia?

The capture has potential; however, the sky is blown out. The selective coloring also isn't working for me as far as the theme goes. Its not colorful enough for color and not monochrome enough for monochrome. I would try reshooting and bracketing exposures. Then merge them in your editing program to maintain sky detail along with the shadows. Or, shoot with a graduated neutral density filter to balance the sky and foreground exposures. This is one of the more difficult images to capture successfully.

Personally I like the coloration of #2, but would prefer a crop closer to #1.

I really like the original. It's fairly monochromatic, and even if you don't think so, it can definetly be called colorful. IMO at least.

    PS: Great shot.
