    Great action catches Shay!

Only problem are the backgrounds. Kind of too busy, but I'm guessing that was out of your control.

    Awesome Shay ^5
These are really nice, good work thumb.gifthumb.gif

I agree with Nir, too bad about some of those backgrounds :uhoh Especially in those super sharp and nice action free style shots :cry Those would be wallhangers or posters, otherwise.

Anyhow liked em all and looks like you enjoyed yourself clap.gif

The place was packed so I shot from where I was and I had a 24-70 lens. If I had brought the 70-200 I might have been able to isolate them. The background suffered. Still I bought the 20d to take pics like this and I'm happy that nearly all of them were in focus and the exposure was kinda rightmwink.gif . One of these days I'm going to get all of the ingredients of a good photo in one shotrolleyes1.gif .

Thanks for the feedback, Steve and Nir.

Wow. I always wrote off the "stunt riders" as crazies. No doubt, this is some serious skill!! I gotta go see one of these shows now....

    Thanks for the awesome captures!

They are crazy. Absolutely insane and very entertaining rolleyes1.gif . Do go to see one if you get a chance. They are usually at motorcycle shows.

You want to see a real "crazy", google for Jean Pierre Goy. He does these tricks with EVERY model of BMW. Yes, even the 1200LT!!! :eek1

For those who don't know, the 1200LT is the love boat of motorcyles. Its absolutely something else to watch JPG do wheelies and stoppies with a fully bagged touring motorcycle that weighs close to 800 lbs! Un-freakin-believable. the only modification he makes to the bike is removing the large windscreen so it doesnt chop his head off when the bike is standing vertically on the rear wheel.

Shay - thanks for sharing thumb.gif. Never seen a good show like this in person, only on the tube.

    Oh yeah!

Here's one from his Squaw Valley show a couple of years back.

    1901582-M.jpg

It was amazing! He started out on the love boat but unfortunately, it's
gutless at altitude and he wasn't able to do a stand-up wheelie on it.
Only about 2/3 of the way up and not for long.

    Wow Shay
Those guys on the bike are real Daroz's aren't they, they're wonderful to watch when they really know their machines.

Last weekend was my first time out at the track, and I hope to be allowed on the track at the next event......wont have to be so far into Zoom that way:)

I love the shots of the bikers off their bikes as they fly through the air.

Great work as per usual Shay.......thanks for sharing ... Skippy (Australia)

The book was a good one too. The series was broadcast here in the states
on Bravo. Not nearly as good as the book though.

I haven't read the book, the series was ok but I find strikingviking on advrider far more entertaining. The Gs did take some punishment tho.

It is a great read, keep going. Glen has a great writing style. I liked lwr but it was sanitised. Back up vehicles, police escorts and the celebrity status of the two riders. Horizons unlimited is a great site also.

Saturday will be very tough. I'm glad you enjoyed the guinnessthumb.gif
