That looks a decent size eek7.gif ... still looking for dinner was it ?

One of the scariest things that can happen when taking photos of big spiders, is looking through the viewfinder, focusing, then sudden the thing has disappeared :oogle

... in my mind I say this....

Please don't let it be on me, please don't let it be on me rolleyes1.gif

Thanks for sharing Doug, Great Shot thumb.gif

HA! I bumped her web, she dropped, I absolutely freaked....and my son couldn't stop laughing...little creep saw the whole thing.

This little spider is a bit longer than one inch. Monopod is really handy for things like this where you need so much flexibility to get around webs and bushes and the like...and to QUICKLY RETREAT when the need arises (or falls). Using a P&S is useful too due to the ability to manage the shot via LCD. My SLR would require that I get my face a bit too close. Coolpix is crappy w/low light, macro focus also, so I have to shoot only during the daylight.
