Additional Domain Name

I just purchased another domain

www.shanemcdermottphotography.com

I wanted this domain to direct visitors to my current website

www.wildearthilluminations.com

So I guess I want to have two different domains that lead to the same site, I am pretty sure this can be done, Marc Adamus has a similar arrangement for his site.

I am not sure where to begin. Please be specific in any guidance that is shared regarding this matter. It has been so long since I set up my original domain I can't remember a single step.

We only support one CNAME. You might be able to forward one to the other on your domain host, that's how I've seen some others do it

As Andy said, you should be able to forward your second domain.

I set up the CNAME for my url www.denisegoldberg.com, so this site points to smugmug.

Crazy person that I am, I grabbed www.denisegoldbergphotography.com too, and I have that site forwarded to www.denisegoldberg.com. The key here is to forward your second domain to the URL that you already have CNAMEd to smugmug.

How you do this will depend on your registrar. I have denisegoldbergphotography.com set up at godaddy. All I did was log in to my account, then I went to the domain control center. Within that I clicked domain forwarding and filled in the blanks. But - each registrar will be different.
