All of these are really nice images. Great job. My views on each of them..
1. I think it meets the monochromatic side, even though the sky is blue. To make it even more thematic, you might see what it looks like to you if you were to crop it down even further from the top, but for for any other reason than the contest, I'd never suggest this.
2. In love the curvature of the wall and how the image makes you wonder whaty's going on with the lone person there. Not sure if it fits the theme...
3. I think this is beautiful and delicate. I'm not sure if these "fall" images are going for monochromatic or colorful...
Beautiful captures and post work done exquisitely!!
I am not a BIG leaf person...but I love the dynamic contrast, and colors with that touch of monolychotron (sp ?) effect you gave number 3, the curvature of the bark, and leaves gently appearing to fall....Very beautiful composition and well presented in my book.
I feel that 3 had a big impact on my visual perspective.
If your going for just very "natural", I would pick 1, although on 1, I would just slightly bump up the saturation on the red/gold, i.e. I have a flat monitor at work, and when I scroll down the photo gets lighter and scolling up the photos gets darker..when I scrolled the photo up slowly..I loved the subtle change in the color hues of the red/gold.
My choice would be 3, 1, 2,
OH, and GOOD LUCK in Whichever you choose!!
You're only as good as your next photo....
One day, I started writing, not knowing that I had chained myself for life to a noble but merciless master. When God hands you a gift, he also hands you a whip; and the whip is intended solely for self-flagellation...I'm here alone in my dark madness, all by myself with my deck of cards --- and, of course, the whip God gave me." Truman Capote
I've come back to this thread three times, but I still can't make up my mind. I like all three.
Now that I can see #3 a bit better, I do like its dreamy quality. I wonder if it would be helped or hindered by cropping a bit of that extra dark space off the top.
