Haven't posted here for a long while. So, here are some recent shots. I've also posted the 'non-people' urban stuff in the 'Street & Field' forum.
#1 A matter of mutual thrust. A question of physical abilities.
#2 The boldy buddies.
#3 Did you say something?
#4 When it's an end of your world - always have a pen with you
#5 no title
#6 A Beauty Store, eh?
#7 The Dentist's Delight
#8 Ghost rider
#9 no title

thanks for sharing
(Just a suggestion to Dgrin -- why not change the name of the "Field & Street" category to "Landscapes" with "Rural & Urban" in the subtitle. It is almost as if whoever laid out the categories way back when thought street photography was all about 'the streets' ) Or combine street photography with a new photojournalism category -- at least that would be a better fit than landscapes...)

I just enjoyed 20 mins looking through your "city" gallery. Too many great shots to list but I love this one.

Thank you very much. Doesn't really require guts. Seriously.

First of all - many thanks for kind words! Second, very sharp and intersting observation re: 'street character studies' vs 'cute ironies'. I myself like both, but am better at former than the latter. That said, this particular post was moslty about 'cute ironies'.
Many thanks again!
PS I would support the proposed 'shuffle' too.

Interesting - a second reply about guts I really don't think it requires that much guts. Some kinds of street photography certainly do (they also tend to require teeth insurance)... but not that kind

I am with you - I think about other people's feelings a lot too But the simple (and wonderful!) truth is that most people are not only not offended, but curious, excited, puzzled, interested, flattered etc., etc.
Some ARE offended to be sure, but then I just apologize and don't take the picture (or delete it afterward)... Curiously enough, some people become much friendlier and don't mind their picture being taken AFTER I show them that I won't take a picture without their consent...
Then again - if I couldn't shoot street, I'd probably just sell the camera and call it a day.

#6 (just had to include it here again!) made me smile! What a fantastic photo, scene and characters. A complete, textured story in one frame. Well done! glad to see you back!
