I did search this a bit here and I didn't see too much on it and don't really understand it.

Some photographers charge to shoot models, say $150 for 1 look. Some photographers do TFP/TFCD which is an exchange. Some models charge photographers to shoot them, say $150 for 1 hour.
I'm assuming that by doing TFP/TFCD you will get more experience and if you are good then demand for you to shoot or be shot will grow and this is when you start charging.
Is this pretty much correct or am I missing something?
