Mesdames and Messieurs, yet another newbie dgrinner asking (humbly) comments here. I don't know if this kind of post (all those photos below) is d-grinnically accepted behaviour, but... you'll say it soon, I hope. :dunno

Anyway, the thing is that I thought I had a brilliant idea for LPS15. Then my first shots on a cloudy night were not what I expected, but nevertheless, I already subcribed to the contest thread, thinking that I'll get a better shot next day :rolleyes , oh yeah. Since then I've reshot, reshot and reshot that scene so many times and nights that I'm feeling sick and blind to it now. Maybe it wasn't a good idea at all :scratch :cry . As usual, Your HO is highly appreciated.

#1 - this has the original gloomy feeling that I initially hunted for, but it's grainy, yack...

#2 - few stars on the sky are like dust on the sensor...

#3, the idea is drifting away from the original...

#4 and another, blue version, which might fit the theme, but?

Read Shay's comments on the first page of the entry thread. He says: "I won't necessarily be judging based on image quality this round", so I'd suggest that you go with what you think fits the theme based on composition and style much more then thw actual quality of the shot.

IMO, the first one, your current entry, hits the mood of the theme regardless of any grain issues, which I simply don't see at this point..
