Skippy- yes #1 & #2 are the same spider. It's one I trapped in the house before the wife saw it. It played dead when I first trapped it so thought I'd better take a pic of it- then I thought I'd better take another pic when it stops playing dead as everyone will think it was dead

You would be in heaven here...there are spiders currently in my garden a few inches across. You can play a tune on their webs.

I just took a photo of her which i will post later.
I think my spider is different from Brian's. I used Brian's technique. I would have taken more but it sped off.
