while out shooting little birds last weekend & spied some sandhills that must be flocking up for the trip south. I was pretty far away when I saw them.
suddenly they started "running" to a different part of the field:scratch then I saw why
I tried to move down & closer for better shots , plus the sun direction was not helping.:dunno I was not very stealthy & it picked me up & got scared :bash I never did get very close.
I snapped a few not so great shots.
it was pretty cool even if the pics are not great. I went from never seeing one in the wild to seeing them twice in a month & a half.
I counted about 26 sandhills , & another 75 or so 2 fields over.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Tough conditions for a good shot.....I know. I had similar conditions when I was up at Devils Lake around the 4th of July. I threw them all away. :cry
Great experience though.
great subjects, content and capture Dave
