I like it, but would consider cropping some off the bottom for stronger impact.

+ 1. Great idea, but you need to chop some of the bottom off. This would work better as a square, or close to it, as the main compositional line is horizontal rather than vertical.

I prefer the square crop.

I was amused by the title because the focus of the frame is on the one pump that isn't, well, colorful.

True enough, but I wanted to keep them in the order of how us 'mericans say our national colors - Red White and Blue - and I didn't want the shallow DOF to let any of them wander into too much blobby obscurity.

I could be dead wrong on this, but I think the negative space in the original image gives the whole a greater impact. I'll have to give it a good thunk.
