My attempts at lowlight. The 40D with the 300 f/4 IS lens...ISO 1600...handheld.

This is a composite...the heron was from another frame...I also added the heron reflection.

    that last shot looks like a painting ricclap.gif the herron almost stands out too much , like it's almost too sharp for the rest of the photo. I wonder if I would have notice if you had not said anything thoughne_nau.gif

    The heron stands out because of the high contrast with the background. Notice the dark (body) part has the bright background and the bright head and beak have the dark background. This was intentional. :D
