I recently purchased a Tenba LL series lens case. As you might imagine,
LL stands for "Long Lens".

The case is water resistant, features a number of internal and external
pockets and a monopod strap. A camera body may be left on the lens
and packed inside the case. The case can be closed using either the zip
or a buckle. Cost is $118 from B&H Photo.

The front pocket will hold a light meter no problem. The other pockets are ample
as well. Carrying the case by the handle is comfortable however, the buckle
and carry strap aren't what I'd expect. The strap could be longer and
the buckle more secure. I had to thread the strap back through the buckle
when it came undone and because of the length of the strap, it felt as if
I was carrying the lens under my armpit.

Despite the fact it says you can put the lens, hood installed, in the bag and
close it up, I was not able to.

The bag's construction is very good. It is padded with a combination of
foam and a crushable plastic. Each of the pieces is accessible from the
inside of the case.

I'd recommend this Tenba case if you want a case to carry a long lens
with ease and instead of the travel case (hard plastic) it came in.
