Sayin' Hi! everyone
Well, this is my first post. I've just signed in with Smugmug and I'm about to experiment with the photography disucssion group approach, after a couple of years in the gallery sites (PhotoSig, UseFilm, Photopoints). It'll be nice meeting you.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
That's right. Really had to work on premises and in post-treatment to get that light out. And this is what I was after : a faint golden glow in the mist coming from the river on a very cold morning.
My biggest challenge though was about composition. The stream is covered with fallen trees and branches that go in all directions. I figured that the opening toward the sun light and the movement of the dark water path was enough here to give a start of a structure to the image. But I still have mixed feelings about it.
