Dad and I drove down to Alabama last weekend for the 3rd annual Barber Vintage Festival at the incomparable Barber Motorsports Park. The place is truly gearhead heaven. We only had two days and didn’t see nearly everything available but I did come home with a few decent photos. Enjoy. Comments and criticism are welcome.

Harv, My son, a friend of his, and I were there last week just before the weekend festivities. What a great place.

As you said, anyone with a real interest in motorcycles, or motorcycle history, needs to spend a few days there.

They have 1400 fully restored motorcycles to peruse - what a feast of two wheeled horse power.

If you had ridden down, you get to park directly in front of the museum

Forgive my ignorance, but what the heck is going on in #2?

The person on the right in the foreground looks like he/she is either falling off or shooting... is it some sort of balance thing?

Or a mechanic in case there is an issue during the race? rolleyes1.gif

Those are racing sidecar rigs. Three-wheelers. The passenger, called a "monkey," has to hang well off in the corners to keep the thing from flipping.

Nice job integrating the track into your shots, lovely work. You're getting absurdly good at this, Tim. bowdown.gif

It sure sounded great. The dude was riding it hard too, battling with smaller better handling bikes. Fun to watch.

Is it just me, or are you getting more comfortable processing them?

I have an idea of what I'm looking for when processing, but I really don't do much. I spend maybe 30 sec. to a min. on each.

    Thanks, Ian & Sid. thumb.gif
