camera timer

looking at camera timer this will be used on a 40D looking at two right now. I would like to know how this compares to the canon timer

I have the canon one and it looks to be a direct rip off of how it works. The canon one is quite tricky in that you can combine functions like using the interval timer with the long shutter timer together, I can't really tell if that does the same.
