Was out late at night having fun and forgot to reset the ISO befor going to the beach with my SO and some friends. It is really too bad because ISO 3200 is really noisy and the shot which coud be really nice are only suitable for the web. My Arceli is really pretty and our friend Cherry is also so my not

ISO 3200 , f/20 , 1/1600 , 32mm , 24-70 f/2.8L

ISO 3200 , f/18 , 1/1250 , 30mm , 24-70mm f/2.8L

ISO 3200 , f/20 , 1/1600 , 40mm , 24-70 f/2.8L

And then I finally woke up to looking at the exposure and realising that it was bright out but not that bloody bright!

ISO 400 , f/6.3 , 1/800 , 200mm , 70-200 f/2.8L IS

Ahh, Cebu, it is a small world, I may well be there later this year, check here for some shots a few miles south of there, in Iligan. Bummer about the missed ISO setting, sounds like a good excuse for another day at the beach, I had wondered how much a high ISO setting would hurt a Digital pic in good light.

So...maybe this is a stupid question...but with bright outdoor light, why shoot at 400 and not 100 or 200? Great pictures anyway. I love the colors and the composition.

    neatimage?
    Hi Charles,
Those shots arent' bad at all, I hardly noticed the noise actually,
or is it that my laptop got too old :D

anyways, if your complain is only the noise, I wonder if you have used the noise removal program, such as NeatImage (demo here: http://www.neatimage.com/download.html) they work quite well,

Dpreview has extensive discussion about this kind of software,
    Cherrs!

Actually, I did the same of thing before at the beach, and I have my camera mode almost exclusively on Apperture Value mode on the largest opening, so they shots were heavily over exposed, but I love the effect. medium.jpg

Charles, this is a very nice shot, one of the best you've posted IMHO. thumb.gif
