Canon 40D Question Re: Af-On and Shutter Button
I recently purchased a 40D and am curious about one setting I typically use/have used on my other Canon bodies. I prefer to disable the autofocus setting on the shutter button, and in the past have just used the custom setting that allows the AE lock button to be the focusing button. However, with the new AF-On button on the 40D, I can't figure out if it's possible to disable the autofocus function on the shutter button. Does anyone out there have an answer or solution? Thanks for any help you can offer.

WIth 40D and one extra button, you can have pretty much all possible combinations, including AF-ON focuses, AE locks exposue (or switch them) and finally shutter button just taking picture.
