Back to Germany
This was my third trip to Germany this year for work. I always manage to squeeze in some picture time. I still haven't learned how to work my camera properly. There are not too many places to pull over to take a picture and when you do, you must hurry. My next challenge is night time Christmas Market shots. I almost forgot, I didn't fall this time...
We rented a car, good thing because the train conductors went on strike. We had no idea we would end up with a brand new Merecedes C class 6 speed! We were on our way up to a castle on the West side of the Rhine River.
We stopped at a roadside stand here and bought some honey.
Rudesheim is always on the list of places to go
One problem is I was so into the drive and the scenery that I have no idea where I took a lot of these pictures
We stopped in Braubach but most everything was closed. We did find a local pub that was open and the lady literally turned on the lights to the kitchen and cooked us lunch. It was the best, especially the pom frittes. I am a pom frittes nut. The picture below has nothing to do with that story except that it was taken in Braubach.
The grape picking was all but over. I would have loved to see the ripe grapes hanging on the vine.
There are so many castles along the Rhine River
This is my new favorite house. I love the flower boxes and the fact that it has several Christmas trees in the yard!
I again do not know where this is but I think it might be Sankt Goarshausen
You never know what you will see. We were at a long stop light with horns honking and there was a wedding party disembarking from a ferry.
at Rudesheim.
And while we are on the subject of never knowing what you will see
Porta Nigra in Trier
Somewhere on the senic route back to and from Trier
These were taken from the car while traveling on the highway. I wasn't driving.
We didn't get to spend much time here, it was just a drive there, look quick, drive back trip.
I love pipe organs
Comments and suggestions welcomed.

I am a business analyst. I'd say more but I must re-read the rules about forum and blog posts first.:D
The 'your favorite house' photo is very cool
The bride on the ferry just makes me laugh for some reason

I really wasn't in to the smokers until I saw this one...
When I learn how to take pictures perhaps I can capture the smoker smoking. For those that don't know, the body comes apart, you place incense inside, and the smoke comes out the mouth...( I didn't know until this year )
