1 hour at loxahatchee in bad light (big post)

I kid you not - on the tail end of a business trip, i knew i had about one hour of free time if I hustled up to loxahatchee before a flight out of ft lauderdale -about 30 or 40 minutes south. got there at 5:45 on a cloudy day with little sun and low light. An hour later, the light was gone. all shots at high ISO, many underexposed deliberately to keep shutter speed high, even at higher ISO. The red-shouldered hawk was one of my last shots taken at dusk. The variety here is phenomenal and if you are there during the week early or late, as i was, you almost have the place to yourself. Just watch out for the occasional gator on the paths....

    That is a variety of birds and I do not think I have ever seen an anhinga with that color plumage! Wow.
