If you could only have one lens - what would you choose? Doesn't matter what brand you use, share whatever works with your gear.

My choice would be my Zuiko 14-54mm 2.8-3.5 - it is fast, great size, weatherproofed, built like a tank, and takes razor sharp images. It just makes me happy to think about it!:D

I recently upgraded to this lens and I LOVE IT! How about everyone else?

The 24-105mm L. I have quite a few nice prime lenses that are better in certain situations where I need more light, but I use the 24-105 more often than any other lens. It is very versatile and takes great photos.

28-70mm f2.8. It stays on my camera 90% of the time for the type of photos I take. It is a good all-around lens.

24-105L, and I don't own one either. If I had to choose one that I do own, it would be the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, which is just a little too short or not quite wide enough at times.

Well....haha...I owned the 24-105L and I sold it...I like it, don't get me wrong, but it didn't work well (imo) with my shooting style for weddings AND portraits...and I'm more of a prime kinda guy anyway.

If I could only have one lens, I'd (if all the world was fair) the 50 f/1.2L or the 24 f/1.4. but of the lenses that I have now I would keep my 50 f/1.4. it's not an L lens, but it's an amazing sharp copy and the bokeh you can get with this baby is INCREDIBLE...I love this lens, and it's on my camera most of the time...

It's the Canon 24-70 2.8L for me, never lets me down, unlike my 17-40 which sometimes makes me doubt my ability, I think I've got a wrong'n mind you, it's so soft on the edges I sometimes have to check it hasn't got butter smeared on it rolleyes1.gif

in my years a photographer I have used many cameras with only one lens....shooting weddings I used twins lens cameras with only an 80mm and learned to do the soft sole shuffle zoom and did the same with my Pentax 645 and my Kiev88 (still have the Kiev and it works great).....with the 35mm's I started using with a fast 50 but hated it and then moved to the 70-210zoom which I loved (shooting weddings and also concerts at the time) that was and has been my favorite lens.....now with digital I still shoot a newer version of the 70-210 and the other body has a 24-70 both a re 2.8 lenses.....my arsenal will always have a 70-210 but I am looking at a replacement for the 24-70.....feel I want something wider for the landscapes.........now I would love to have a digital back for the Kiev and I will be adding a donation button to my site one day soon for any one willing to help me achieve that goal rolleyes1.gifroflrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifroflrolleyes1.gifroflrolleyes1.gifrofl
