Boo at the zoo
Los Angeles Zoo has this Halloween event where kids get dressed up and get candies and such. They also put pumpkins in some animal displays for them to play with. I think the main attraction were the Sumatran Tiger Cubs as they played with the pumpkins.
Lighting is very tough at the zoo so I ended up using Lightroom which has poorer color reproduction in my view (or just more options so it's more difficult).
Anyway here are some shots.
1. First encounter with the orange kind, when it ran into the pen.
2. Vegetarian???
3. Getting a Paw full
4. Some lion lazying around with a fly on it's snout.
5. Rhino, fresh off from a horn trimming. "Look Ma, no horn."
Whole gallery is here.

Hi Tee Why, Very nice collection of photos. So which is better, the L.A. Zoo or the San Diego Zoo. Been to SD, never to LA.

I personally prefer LA Zoo and then WAP. LA zoo usually gives you an unhindered view to the animal. SD zoo uses more plexi glass. WAP lion exhibit uses the glass but you can get a lot closer, which is a trade off.
