D3/D300 Release Date

I just saw this post on another forum. Thought you might be interested.

"I spoke with the Nikon rep at the NPPA event at San Jose this weekend. She told me these cameras are shipping to stores on November 30."

Another guy said he heard the same thing in Ireland.

Well that link says Nov 30 for Japan, but I heard this morning that it will be Nov 23 for Japan

according to my guy at calumet camera, he's heard from within that they'll be shipping *before* the end of the month. no exact date though. he's also confirmed that mine is within the first 100 to go out.

haha, yeah one never knows... here in the US, Ritz is likely going to get the vast majority of the NA market shipment. even though Calumet has stores internationally, i don't think they move the volume that Ritz does. then there are the other big names like B&H, Adorama, Jacks, etc. that get their slice and then there's all the little ma and pa shops...

with d3 production at only 8k/ month for worldwide fulfillment, expect the d3 to be non-existent from most store's shelves for some time to come.
