Congrats all the winners and bad luck to those that didn't make it. In my opinion, this was the most competitive round so far.

Best luck to all for the semi and best wishes for everyone else hoping you return for LPS 16.

    Regards,

    Peter

Don't look at it as a failure. This was a very tough round.

You have no control over how the judges rank the photos, so it's not a failure at all. Have a look at your image in relation to your portfolio and see whether it would be added. If it would, then there's no shame in missing the top 10 (and from my perspective it was a cool image).

Hope you are back in round 16.

I need to start using the little smiley faces.

Thanks to the folks that sent me PM's, I'm fine with losing, I do it all the time.:D :D:D

A lot of the stuff I put here is tongue in cheek.
I have no problem at all with the judging. As a matter of fact I think that they did a great job.

Sorry for the confusion, I will use the smilies more often.

    Congrats again.

No points here either...Oh well....on to the next..eh??

    Congrats to the winners!

I certainly don't feel lonely because some of my absolute favorites also garnered no official points. Good work and chins up to you others toiling along with us!

Oh well, at least the little trick or treaters will enjoy them.

Congratulations on all that made it. And to those that didn't.

I stopped trying long ago to figure out how the images get picked. Do what makes YOU happy, and everything will fall into place.

WoW! I’m utterly FLABBERGASTED! (can I say that in mixed company?)

Thanks so much for the honor – and I truly do feel honored – This round in particular had so many entries that were undeniably worthy of the top 10. Of course I was holding out a glimmer of hope (as I think we all do) but this result was actually astonishing.

My wife is kidding me about my choice of photos to submit. "October Stew" is a picture of a mud puddle that I had to step over getting out of my car at the dry cleaners. And my first entry back in LPS#3 ("perhaps more prunes")was of my 22yr old son on the toilet – both were selected to the top ten, go figure.

Anyway, thanks again and Congratulations to those that were selected and also to the entire field – a wonderful bunch of photos. And best of luck to those participating in the current Semi Final!

A BIG CONGRATS to those of you who made it!!! clap.gif

I am sooooo suprised that liquidair didn't get through!!! I'm actually gobsmacked. That was my very favourite!

Joint 12th sounds cool but I am officially 31st. Out of 127 entries I guess that's not too bad. At least my name is somewhere on the list this time.
So I am obviously getting there.

It's hard not to feel sad, though, especially when you feel this entry was the best photograph you have ever taken, in your own eyes :cry

A couple of my rellies now have Cerulean Dream as their desktops now. So, that makes me happy :D
Canon EOS 40D, Canon EOS 350D, 50mm 1.8 MKII prime lens, 17-40mm f/4 L lens, 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS lens, 430 EX speedlite, Tungsten Continuous studio light, Pocket Wizards, Gary Fong Lightsphere, Stofen Omni bounce diffuser, 5in1 reflector

clap.gif Congratulations to all the winners! There were some incredible images submitted this round. I'm sure this was not easy on the judges.

I plan to take what I've learned so far and come back for LPS 16!! The two week break will give me a chance to move into my new studio. I just signed the lease today, get to start moving in on the 1st, and Grand Opening on the 9thwings.gif I won't stray far from here though........I can't wait to see the images the SF round brings.

    Good luck in the SFs!
