viewing originals while maintaining protection

Is there a way I can give myself the ability to view the original versions when I'm logged in, while prohibiting all others?

Nope. Not that any of us have found in the Smugmug UI. It is a frequent feature request.

It is possible to access the originals when logged in via the api which means that some of the 3rd party programs like AlbumFetcher can get the originals without unlocking the UI.
