October is the greatest time for the moon up here in Minnesota so Grimace & I went in search of.......the MOON

The Foshay used to be the tallest bldg. in Minneapolis:

We chased that thing later last week..driving all over the place trying to get to the "right" spot"...phew...yes, Adam, we stayed in posted speed limits..LOL

Finally got some color

Then, a trip we planned for quite some time, calculating exactly where the moon would rise (thanks to the US Navy website)

Split Rock Lighthouse on the northshore of Lake Superior

and the one for print as I have a space for landscape orientation

    Swartzy,

    Nice collection of imagesclap.gif

Really like the last two though. In fact if the last one were as dark as the 2nd to last I think it would be my favorite. A+ for compositionthumb.gif

    Thank you Marc
You know...the original is darker and I liked that as well but in print I wasn't certain how much of the rock detail would be lost. I have a print coming and may go back to the darker version. I upped the exposure in PS by 2/3rds I believe....thanks for the feedback. I'll keep my eye on it as this is going on the wall mwink.gif

I agree on monitor, this is better (my first version)

Beautiful and clear...I love them! :): Especially the last one with the outcropping in the right foreground. I'd just like to see more differentiation between water and sky, but it's still a great pic! :D

    Thanks Jen
Yea, I was hoping we'd have just a light layer of clouds for the moon to illuminate but that sky was clear as a bell....very different for that area as clouds seem to be around that lake continually. Was a fun time!
