Now the back story...........the truth of the matter is that the Pelicans don't like the Cormorants horning in on their meal, so a few seem to circle around the flock and fight off the meanies. No one gets hurt as they all travel around together, but the Pelicans are sure to maintain the pecking order. No pun intended. :wink :wink :wink

Very nice sequence. Something tells me though that the cormorant did not learn its lesson and will be back to harass the pelicans again.

I saw this very same activity on a recent trip to the Mississippi River. Since the Cormorants outnumber the Pelicans forty to one...some scraps will be lost.:D
