Slowly getting my hands on Glacier pnlunder. I decided to process at least one album a week. God only knows how long will it take me, but at least it's a plan...:-)
This time I decided to deal with the aspens (Friday Oct 28, The Great Escape :-)...

The great escape
I really like the first and third Nik.
Now, do you think you could help Nick W, Christina and Skippy with some similar goal setting!!!

10-22 with CP is one bitching combo!
Well, I was lying flat on the ground... Besides, those kinda create the DOF sense, so I don't mind them much....
Were you using a polarizer? Or did the sky naturally have such a range of contrast in it?

Yes, I was.
I know it's not advised for the WA (10-22 at 10mm in my case), but I happen to like the effect :-)
Imma gonna need me one of those one of these days.... someday...
Great stuff!

Well, the thing is that polarizer is a very directional device. Its effect is maxed at 90-degree angles from the Sun and it fades to almost zero at 0 and 180.
Since WA lenses usually cover a lot of the "skyline" you normally get this weird "dark-light-dark" or "light-dark-light" effect.
However, since I was shooting staright up and the sun was pretty low in the corner of the frame, I only got more or less naturally looking single light-to-dark gradient.
Thanks, Tyler!
Get both, they are fun!
I just wanted to know I wasn't crazy. Nice shots.
