Digital Camera Book

I am looking for a good book or series to explaine in simplified terms proper photography technics. I would like it to give me field assignments and projects and go into a explanation of what I am doing and how. does anybody know of any such book? :scratch

    Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson would be one option.

    Have a look through the book reviews section. There are a few great
    books.

    I recentlly bought the "Digital Photography Book" by Scott kelby...awsome ready, simple, and a good laugh !rolleyes1.gif

    Definately Understanding Exposure, Ive read it several times and I always learn something new in it!

    Another good one to have on hand is the National Geographics Guuide to photography

    Granted it's not a book, but it seems to have everything you're looking for, plus feedback and additional information from some very knowledgeable people. Heck... even a chance to ask your own questions and have them answered :)
