First time in the studio
Hello grinners!
I've got to show you this. These are a couple of shots from a studio lighting course arranged by Teekkarikamerat, a photography club at my university.
Our model, Essi, was a gem to work with, many thanks to her.
And so to the shots, first a split light which was my assignment.
Here's one fired off while someone else was working with another set up.
And then I had a brainwave: the modeling lights are incandecents and I was carrying my IR-modified 300D.
I had 6 stops more light from the modeling lights in infrared, easily hand held, but quite enough to level off the red cast in post processing.
Finally this one to show how creative I can get when the IR-only pass filter blocks the viewfinder :wink
Your turn - tell me what you think!
The full gallery from the session is here.
