Hello grinners!

I've got to show you this. These are a couple of shots from a studio lighting course arranged by Teekkarikamerat, a photography club at my university.

Our model, Essi, was a gem to work with, many thanks to her.

And so to the shots, first a split light which was my assignment.

Here's one fired off while someone else was working with another set up.

And then I had a brainwave: the modeling lights are incandecents and I was carrying my IR-modified 300D.

I had 6 stops more light from the modeling lights in infrared, easily hand held, but quite enough to level off the red cast in post processing.

Finally this one to show how creative I can get when the IR-only pass filter blocks the viewfinder :wink

Hi there.. I'm not exactly sure what these photos are supposed to make me feel. Each one of them i feel there's something wrong, blurry, composition, colour, pose... I just don't understand it.. I'm not sure exactly what you were going for? ne_nau.gif

Interesting play with the lights, not too keen on the incandescents though, of the 3 above I like the second one best, though I might think of cloning out (or cropping out) the lighter part on the left hand edgeclap.gif

    and welcome to dgrin!

#1 isnt too bad, could use a bit of sharpening, if her face was a little more turned toward the light she would have had a beautiful Rembrandt shadow casted on it.
The IR shots are unusual, I wouldnt have thought to do that!
