Butterflies w/o macro lens

Went to the Botanical Garden today with my boy to check out the Monarch Butterfly exhibit.

He shot with Oly E-300 40-150mm F3.5 (he chose the crops too!):D

    Nice work, yep you do not have to have a MACRO lens to do MACRO,
    especially things the size of Butterflies.

    You've just missed the focus on the second shot (eyes not in focus)

    Your Son did a great job, and I hope he continues to enjoy photography.
    Would be nice for you too be be able to go out shooting with him :D

    hey nice work! i have a sigma 70-300 with macro function and i know how hard it can be to get good macro shots with it :D
