Hello all,

I am currently in Hong Kong for work and although I haven't been as active with my camera as I would have liked, I have had a few days off and I managed a few shots of some locals at work.

Most of these were taken at the Wan Chai markets. I have been to Asian markets many times, but this one is amazing. I didn't get a photo of the stripped bare cows head that was in a basket beside the butchers shop, but I did get a few of the workers. The markets are all open air, and all the produce is either hanging up or in the case of the fish, swimming in buckets, and then laid on ice.

Here are are few shots for your viewing pleasure:dunno, and critique.

1. A worker enjoying a smoke on the job.

2. Hanging meat.

3. smoking part two.

4. Chicken shop workers. Pick your chook!

5. The old and the new???

6. Chater street or possibly 'Chatter' street.

Wow these are amazing. I'm really surprised the meat is not stored at a temperture of 40 F and below.

I feel sorry for those chickens in the cages...somehow I just can't get the thought of of my head that "They're days are numbered" :cry

I'm will gefillmore...I am definately not hungry anymore.

P.S. On a lighter note...how are the kids doing?

    Thanks George and Seneca,

I became far less hungry after seeing the markets as well eek7.gif, however if you drink enough beer or wine, you don't know what your eating:D.

Seneca, the boys are doing very well, looking forward to getting home to see them (away for 19 days:cry)
