Halloween costume party photos
A friend of mine recently had a costume party.. here are some photos. All shot with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 prime and the Speedlite 580EX II. Generally I used manual mode with an exposure of 1/80 to 1/125 and varied the aperture to get the desired DoF. The 580EX II in E-TTL mode takes care of making sure the scene is properly exposed. The flash is bounced off the (rather low) ceiling, with a Demb flash diffuser throwing some light forward. Some shots also have some flash exposure comp, something I am slowly getting used to using correctly.
