How do I control what shows up on Search Engines?

I just submitted my URL to Google and Yahoo, and when I did a search to test them I was very surprised by what came up.

Did you know that posts in this forum show up on both Google and Yahoo searches?! How do I prevent that?

Also, the text following my welcome message is the info for SmugMug, not for my website. How do I control what the text says?
