Both the photos and the idea of giving back to those who serve. Thanks!

I think this is a wonderful idea. Great job Scott!

Does anyone know if an organization like Operation Love exists in Canada?

    Hello Scott.
You do have two nice pictures here.clap.gif
However, I like best the first one.:D

It is nice to help people like you did.

We all should wish happiness of others, because this action reflects our ourselves. :D

It may sound religious but it really is what I think and try to pratice.

    Cheers :D
All the best ! ... António Correia - Facebook

    Thank you.

I believe we should not only wish for the happiness of others, but to help that along whenever we can.

    Scott!
I really like the first one!
The light is perfect (maybe a little-little bit less flash...:-)
The composition (her pose) is perfect too.
As for the second I think that this tree, making a 'line goind out of dog's head' is not what you wanted to shoot.
Choosing another point could help... but...
    But this first one...
You know.. I have mixed feelings and I was thinking: whats wrong? And now I know: her smile.
I mean this story and her smile...
Think that more 'pensive' smile could be better for this story...
Sorry for my English - not sure you'll understand me well...
    But that's what I think..
    My congratulations.

    Scott,
Fantastic. Two outstanding shots. You really nailed the exposure. Only thing I would do is darken the tree on the first shot, reducing the flash look. But, man, great shots and I applaud your actions to help her with a care package. If it's true that what goes around comes around, then you're in for some good karma. But, who is SWMBO? I assume it's your wife? But what does it mean? :D

First thing - your English is so much better then my Russian :) Understanding your English is very easy - no worries there.

Second thing - thanks so much for looking and taking the time to comment. You don't comment on many photos so I feel very honored. bowdown.gif

I believe you to be correct about the smile. A more thoughtful smile - "I'm thinking of my husband and wish he were here" smile would probably be better match to the story.

If I have time before she orders prints, I may go back and darken the tree a bit and see what that does. You are most probably correct and it's something that I didn't even consider. Thanks for the idea.

    As for SWMBO:

    She
    Who
    Must
    Be
    Obeyed
