Tried to capture an old carved wooden bowl .. :)

C&C appreciated as usual, this may be a weird topic for most though :dunno I just really like the structure of carved wood.. :)

    The carved wood has a nice and rough structure..I like it to!.

    I think the best one is the darker one. It just feel a bit older and rougher..Wich i like!

    I like this carved wooden bowl, all three shots look great.
    I particularly like the #2 image.
    Even though you can't see as much detail in the carving on the curve of the bowl,
    I like how the head is the main focus and almost pops off the screen.

    I like the shots and the subject. I find myself wondering if you also tried
    different angles other than the single one selected for all 3? Just curious. :D

    +1.

    I would try a 3/4 shot of the head from above and focus in on the detail there.

    Ulrik,
    Really wasn't trying to make a suggestion so much as I was just curious.
    All three shots have merit and each is a unique capture. The dream like
    quality in take #2 is my favorite though I could use a bit more DOF to get
    just bit more focus to the front portions of the boat only.
