March for Tuberculosis in South Africa
Photos I took at yesterday's (8th November 2007) Treatment Action Campaign march for Tuberculosis which took place in downtown Cape Town, South Africa.
The march was intended to coincide with the 38th Annual Union World Conference on Lung Health which was being held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Every year TB kills more than 2 million people worldwide. In Southern Africa it is by far the greatest killer of people living with HIV. The march was a call to action for vision, research, funding, action and activism on TB/HIV.
