The Sky was Full of Hawks

I tested a 300 mm f2.8 and 80-200 2.8 today that I have use of. They are very used but the glass is still in good shape. I found a field that had several hawks flying over it. The only disappointing things about the 300 mm is the slow focus. I had a harrier buzz me a couple of times and it just could not pick it up. I still need to get a longer reach, but I got some good shots with some cropping.

It appears harriers do not like to share air space with red tails.

There had to be about 10 or so hawks flying in this one field. It was great.

The lens is the AF ED.

Seems like you got yourself some nice fast glass. Maybe all they need is some servicingne_nau.gif
Other than that, seems like you had a very productive afternoon with interesting subjects thumb.gif
