Charlotte, NC Natural Exterior Location

We have been shooting children photography and have found a couple great locations. The first being the Leroy Springs Park in Fort Mill, SC. http://www.leroysprings.com/Greenway.html. The other location being Freedom Park.

Does anyone else know of some unique places where we can shoot near Charlotte?

I don't know that you'll do much better than Freedom Park. It has the advantage of having lots of different types of settings.

There are some pretty spots around Lake Wylie if you're looking for water.

There are actually some neat spots right in the middle of downtown where you get a nature meets urban setting.

Especially if you go this time of year.

There are also some really cool spots (natural and man-made) at Belmont Abbey:

Good luck - and make sure we see the results!

    Our location.
We shot at an old church near the corner of 51 and Idlewild. Pretty cool but not great. We did have some great sun light tricklin' thru the trees.

I'm still seeking other locations in Charlotte. Photography has always been for fun but I starting shooting infant/toddler photography for $$.

    Another Location
My real job is a Creative Director at an Advertising Agency. We have a photo shoot scheduled this week at the White Water Center. When the water is going really cool background. Plus they are not charging us a fee to shoot out there.

jmaz24, That's a nice website you have. Moved to Charlotte about a month ago from upstate NY. I have been looking for some good night locations to get some pics of my car to post on a car club I belong to. A newbie to night photography.

As far as churches go in Charlotte, you can't beat the Myers Park area. Those are some of the most beautiful church buildings I've ever seen.

Start at the corner of Providence and Providence and Queens and Queens (Charlotte joke) and you can't go wrong! headscratch.gif

Yay for more photographers in charlotte!
I moved here about two years ago from Long Island, NY and just started getting back into my love of photography. I just started my own little "business" called Love Life Photography. I've had the name for years but now am using it for my little business thing I got going. I love that everyone put out all those locations!! Great ideas :)
