Big Ship At the Port

Took shot with sun comming from the left of frame. Waited for the sun to get low in the sky.

    You're right - that certainly is a big ship!

    I like that you chose an industial subject to photograph, and a huge machine like a ship can offer very dramatic shots. I like how the walkway slants out of the lower left corner and how the tallest tower frames the right side of the image. I'd prefer if you'd crop the more distant of the towers out of the image. To me, however, the image doesn't really have any element that stands out: the ship is obviously the main object of interest but its getting competition from the towers, sky, and walkway. That's my "dos centavos ".

    Good photo.
    Well composed too. But you may be able to crop the right side up to the left-most upright on that tower (using it to frame the shot) then tighten up on the left side a bit to balance. The the ship will then fill the frame even more.
