I'm going to like this challenge. I like pics with very few things in it.

So I'm going to use this this spot for my pics. I'm thinkin I may have quite
a few.

Remember, photoshop is your friend.

Definitely the Cardinal! They are actuallymy favorite bird, so I especially like this photo. The second fits but, like I think you may have said before (i'm not sure), it doesn't pull the viewer in.

    Very good!thumb.gif

EDIT: Very nice editing as well. I'm very impressed.

Thanks Kelly. It's always good to hear from another Minnesotan.
The editing isn't all that hard, it just takes a little time.

I can't use the cardinal pics cause I took it on Sunday. The good news is he
lives in our backyard. I'll see him again.

Congrats on making it to the final 10 in the last challenge. It's a very good pic.

I like both the snowman and the thread, but I think the snowman has more to say, if you know what I mean. I just really think it's cute. thumb.gif

both snowman & thread are good
I think 'minimal sewing machine' is better because it's more in keeping with the theme.
    Very deep.

    I love these
I agree that the cardinal, the more simple photo with just the bird is the best! dawn

I love the last one best! Out of the two above it I'd say the purple stands out. dawn

I like this one a lot. The hint of the paneling, showing very faintly makes it more interesting. The only thing I would change is to get rid of the shadow from the handle itself. Nice!

Thanks Dawn. I don't know why, but I thought that the yellow one was "the"
one. Maybe it's because that yellow is the real color of the caps.
I still have better than a week to decide which one will stay in the challenge.

Two votes for the handle. I think I can clean up the shadow pretty easily.
I'll give it a try later on.

    Thanks.

I originally liked the handle better, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked this one. I think the door design on the handle picture just destracts me. Also, I wouldn't go with the yellow caps. They just look blurry to me. This one has a beautiful color to it and it is pretty clear. (at least it looks clear on my P.O.S. monitormwink.gif )

As all of you can tell, I'm not an artist. I'm just here to have a little fun.

Thanks Jenny. The cupboard handle was kind of an after thought. I was
shooting the caps and noticed that it would "fit" in the challenge. But as
Ginger said, "You need a hook." I guess I don't think that the handle has
that hook. I'm not sure what one will end up in the challenge. Right now,
the yellow caps are kind of holding my place.

I shot the yellow caps at ISO 800. I had to noise ninja the heck out of it
to smooth the pic. When i did that, the pic got soft. I may re-shoot it,
    but I probably won't.

I took out the shadow from the handle in this one, but I don't like it. It loses
    all depth.

    Thanks again for looking.

I really like the cupboard door actually. I say keep the shadow and lose that line intersecting with the bottom part of the handle. I wonder if there's anyway to emphasize the lines of the paneling, too? make them darker to give them more pop. that may give you some balance with this shot. ne_nau.gif
