Last game of the season

I've very happily spent 8 of the last 10 Friday nights prowling the sidelines photographing my local high school's football games. Unfortunately, they missed a chance at making the playoffs, but that's what next year is all about; and it only 42 weeks away.

Here's a few from last night. Now I can start thinking about basketball!

Ah now that's not fair! Did you get a signed model release for this?

btw, many thanks to Kent for recommending Imagenomic's Noiseware. I don't know about his images here, but just about everything I capture 'under the lights' needs it's help.

Awesome shots. Mine never looked that good! I didn't get to do pictures this year. I missed it.

I'm sure that Noise Ninja and other noise reduction programs are effective as well, but everything that I shoot at ISO 1600 and above goes through Noiseware at the "weak noise" reduction setting.

These three shots were all taken at ISO 3200, 1/400 sec., f/2.8 and run through Noiseware prior to cropping and a little tweaking in Photoshop.
