cool birds cool colors

the 1st picture was deleted coz it made me wanna yack.

i thought these pics were kinda cool so maybe they deserve the cool shots thread - if not feel free to move them where they belong ( no trash can jokes )

    more cool captures Win but I hate the eyes on #1 - sheeeeesh, they are SCARY!

    #2 is fantastic. I love the DOF

    Both great shots, wonderful colours, detail and sharpness. The background in the 2nd is excellent and really sets off the bird. I think that, if possible, the first might benefit from not being so central though ne_nau.gif

    as colorful as that 1st bird is - i actually hate the image. I much prefer the second also!

    I love the second pic. Excellent. The first - I'd say lose the colored border and recrop it. I can't say exactly how without seeing the original, but I think gubbs is right about the "centrality" of it.

    Definitely better. Nice colors, non-disruptive background. Fairly aggressive crop?
