Dickies 500
I went to my very first NASCAR race. I admit that I did not think I would like it at all. However, I had a great time!
I started out by taking my picture with the picture of Dale Sr. on the side of a trailer.
We spent a lot of time prior to the race walking through what I call the midway, playing games, winning industrial strength sharpies and seeing cool stuff. Most notable was a Boyd Coddington car.
I signed up to win this car, but I am sure all I will get is emails, junk mail and telephone solicitations!
The pre-race festivities included sky divers.
My daughter's favorite driver is Carl Edwards
whom she fondly referred to during the race as Carla due to his terrible car that day. We lost count of the number of pit stops.
My husband is a Jeff Gordon fan.
and I have not decided on a driver yet.
I am guessing this man is a Kyle Busch fan and this is a Kelloggs Cornflakes connection.
I was trying to get a picture of my husband and daughter and this guy kept posing for me so I took the picture.
There were a few wrecks that day.
I just like this one.
The winner.
