Hey, what do you know? I found some birds.
Actually really just one, a red tailed hawk that finally gave a nice perch and held still for at least 30 seconds before flying off, catching a thermal, and leaving me behind to cherish the memories. :rofl
Looking across a road and into a pasture.
Takes notice of me here.
Looks to its right.
Looks back to its left.
And takes off....I guess as photographers of birds we live for these fleeting thirty seconds. BTW, I shot this in full manual. The light was harsh and directly overhead. I thought F8 would close the lens enough, but not quite. The shots came out really hot; not so hot that they couldn't be adjusted but I need to remember to close that lens even more.
Oh and speaking of fleeting, I found this northern harrier today as well, but this is the only shot she would give me.
Enjoy.

Is it nearing the end of the bird season in your neck of the woods,
or is it just beginning?
The hawks are much more active now and I am still awaiting more of the wintering passerines and waterfowl, but things have still been slow. I am going to have to start traveling to find them.

We'll see Glenn. Haven't had many opportunities.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Bugs
Spiders
